User Guide
For Invisible Text Messenger 3.4 and newer · Android 8.0 or newer
1. Install the app
- On your Android phone, open the download page and tap Download for Android.
- Open the downloaded file. If Android says it can't install from this source, tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, and go back.
- If a "Play Protect" message appears, tap Install anyway. It shows because the app isn't from the Play Store.
2. Make it your texting app
- Open the app and tap Yes when it asks to be your default texting (SMS) app.
- Phone says "Restricted setting"? Open your phone's Settings ▸ Apps ▸ Invisible ▸ tap the ⋮ menu ▸ Allow restricted settings, then try again.
- Follow the Get set up checklist in the app's Settings — it walks you through every step.
3. Bring your texts over
- Settings ▸ Import messages from phone copies your existing texts and pictures in. It's safe to run again — nothing is duplicated.
- Texts still arriving in your old app? Turn off Chat features (RCS) in that app: Settings ▸ Help & how-to ▸ Turn off Chat (RCS) shows you how.
4. Keep it running
Settings ▸ Keep Invisible running (battery) stops the phone from closing the app, so texts are never late.
5. The private side
Hiding contacts, the decoy PIN, panic lockdown, fingerprint unlock, intruder alerts and full backups are explained inside the app, behind your lock (Information Center ▸ How-to (private)). We don't print those steps here, so nobody can learn them from this page.
6. Your free trial and buying
- Every feature is free for 7 days. Nothing is charged automatically.
- To keep it: Settings ▸ About ▸ License ▸ Buy. After paying, the app unlocks itself within seconds.
- Paid but still locked? Open the app again, or tap I've paid — unlock now.
- Your purchase is for one phone. Reinstalling on the same phone keeps it unlocked.
7. Back up your normal texts
Settings ▸ Back up my texts (password-locked) saves your chats and pictures in one locked file — use it when you change phones. Keep the file and its password safe.
8. Changing the look
Settings ▸ Appearance lets you switch skins, including the Glass and Moonlit looks.
